Dr Yana Haseya (Osteopath)

Yana was born and raised in chilly Siberia and travelled the world for a number of years as an adult. She settled in Australia in 2011, where she’s come to appreciate the (ever so slightly) warmer weather.

Before qualifying as an osteopath, Yana completed a psychology degree. She successfully worked as a psychologist before moving to Australia. She also previously trained and worked as a yoga and Pilates teacher. As a yoga teacher, Yana became increasingly interested in the way the body functions. This saw her seek further education and ultimately, to encounter the field of osteopathy.

Yana completed her osteopathic degree at Southern Cross University. She now gives back to the profession, teaching students at her alma mater when she gets the chance.

Yana treats all musculoskeletal conditions and patients of all ages. She employs the full range of osteopathic techniques. This includes stretching, massage and manipulation. It also includes a number of very gentle techniques (for instance osteopathy in the cranial field).

Being a mother of three, Yana has a special passion for treating babies and children. She has undertaken further osteopathic training in paediatrics and continues to pursue study in this area.

Yana has collaborated with Dr Joachim Enevoldsen over the past several years. She’s helped to further develop the Osteo Diagnostic Platform (ODP), used at Brisbane West Osteopathy. While every osteopath has their own unique approach, Yana and Joachim both utilise ODP and share similar treatment approaches.

On her days off, you’ll find Yana in constant motion. Whether it’s yoga, Pilates or her favourite martial art, Capoeira, Yana is always moving.
